Syracuse, NY - Maine-Endwell reeled off four touchdowns in the game's opening minutes and coasted to a 54-19 season-opening victory over Marcellus at the Carrier Dome Sunday evening.
After forcing Marcellus to punt away its first possession of the game, the Spartans worked their way to midfield, where quarterback Kyle Gallagher cut through the defense for a 50-yard touchdown run just over two minutes into the contest. The Spartans then recovered a Marcellus fumble, and Justin Jacoby scampered 33 yards for another touchdown roughly two minutes later.
