Vestal, NY - The Ithaca Little Red scored three unanswered touchdowns in the fourth quarter - including one on the game's final play - and shocked the Vestal Golden Bears 33-30 in Vestal's home opener.

We are now three weeks into the 2011 season and to say it has been one of surprises might be an understatement. First, thoughts and prayers go out to all in Twin Tiers who sustained flood damage. May your recovery efforts be speedy. Second, Corning Hawks made it 3-0 on the season with a convincing 45-14 win over Vestal. The Elmira school district combined team, the Express, fell to 1-2 for the year, losing a 34-0 decision to interdivision foe Maine-Endwell. Elmira travels to Union Endicott Saturday 9/24 for a 7P kickoff. Corning, meanwhile, will visit last season's "AA" runnerup, Binghamton, Friday 9/23.
